Gratitude Today

Usually, I don’t watch much television, but just the other evening, I was watching a couple of documentaries about people living in war-torn areas.  For some, their day to day life was suddenly in upheaval from bombings on their towns, and attacks by militant groups.

The distress and terror these people were experiencing, reminded me to be grateful for the peace and security that my home, my town and my country experience and expect.  I am fortunate to live in a peaceful area, free from war, military insurgence, and general unlawful, gang-type activities, and where I don’t have to be in fear for my life on an ongoing, daily basis as is experienced by many in other areas of the world.

I have the freedom to go about my daily activiities with a feeling of security and safety.
